It's a beautiful city and we fully intend to go back.
There was adventure...and some misadventure.
Don't worry though, through all the "interesting" times, we still were having a blast!
Here are some of our bad luck moments and my favorite photos:
*Note: I left my camera at home so all photos were taken on my Iphone.
Our first train ride!! It really was fun! I want to take a trip on a train now!
We went to the Portishead concert the first night! Unfortunately it turns out the Portishead tickets Scott bought on-line were fakes...lame right!?! We will get our money back from that though! There was a small panic attack by Scott because the show was sold out, but luckily there were scalpers lurking about and we bought new tickets that actually worked! Scott would have been one unhappy camper if we missed the show. The band is from the UK and don't tour too often in the US.Here are some of our bad luck moments and my favorite photos:

We ate Gino's for breakfast one day...don't judge!
Our first day touring was a titch rainy.
Our spirits will not be dampened though!
Even if I do fall down the subway stairs because the stairs were slick due to said rain. I was only slightly embarrassed when the security guard told me he could hear my butt hit every stair on the way down.
I really really love architecture and cool old buildings! We paid a visit to the bean. Let me just tell you that this tourist attraction is totally worth it! Even if we did get mini-mugged right after. You heard right! Some hood rat threatened to pull a gun on us if we didn't give him money. Did we believe he had a gun? Not really, but Scott didn't want to take the chance. He pulled out a $10 and told the guy he was a terrible human being! OK...he didn't really say that last part, but we both thought it. Then the guy had the audacity to thank us for our kindness! Really...were you not just there when you threatened us?? Some people!
I recommend to take the river boat tour! Fast and easy way to see and hear about all the buildings histories.

This is the cute suburban town of Naperville, that's just a little jaunt outside of Chicago, where we stayed with the Steele clan of Jeremy, Mel, & kids! So darn cute! I'm referring to the family as well as the picturesque town! Did you know that there are different taxi services and if you take the wrong one from the city to the suburbs you could pay $100 as opposed to $30...yeah we learned that the hard way.

Small towns have the best sweet shops, not to mention the bomb diggity of antique stores!

Naperville also had a covered bridge!! So sleepy hollow, I loved it!!
We saw sights, spent time with the family, ate yummy food, walked through tree lined streets, and just enjoyed being in a fun new city! We definitely plan to go back. I didn't get to do my ghost tour! I so want to see the sites of H.H. Holmes and the Valentines Day Massacre!
