Schmoopy

Urban Dictionary: Schmoopy: Having or showing fond feelings or affection; loving and tender. Excessively sentimental.

First off this is Scott's fault and I totally blame him! It's come to my attention recently that I've become a schmoopy girl! Not that these schmoopy symptoms happen all the time...espeically in front of people (cause I still have my standards), but all the same it's still happening and who knew that was me!?! I'm making all the classic annoying schmoopy moves:
-sighing when I cuddle into him
-constantly having to touch him
-wanting to be with him every second (I always hated when guys were constantly around and now i can't get enough)
-needing kisses....a lot of kisses...all the time and at the most inopportune times according to Scott
-being a little whiny when I want said kisses or touches
-pouting when I don't get my way
-constant staring (I may have always done this one though)
-putting pictures of him everywhere
-doing "we" talk (though I don't feel bad about this one...cause after a year 1/2 we're totally a we...get used to it Scotty)

The only thing I'm not doing is the stupid baby talk and lovey dovey names (so gay). I mean we call each other babe (cause we can't always remember each others names) or pickle (cause that's what Shawn's mom calls him in Shawn of the Dead), but those are standard and mostly awesome (Scott you better hush on the other name you made up). It's funny cause I've always hated those kind of girls before. Plus, I would get "freak out's" all the time with other guys because they we're wanting to be all serious...but then again I've never had a hot ginger for a boyfriend before. That must be the difference this time around....

(I just noticed that schmoopy is a lot like poopy...coincidence?? I think not.)

Weirdness that is goodness

I have a dentist appointment this week and it got me to thinking about the weird things I love:

-Dentist pain= I think the pain the dentist causes my gums feels good...I don't know why?? When I was younger I would love to get a loose tooth because of this feel good pain.

-Mosquito bites= I hate mosquito bites just like every other person in human existence, but it does feel so good to itch them!!

-Hiccups= Are just fun!! You know you like them too. Plus, I feel like they give my insides a massage.

-Eye goobers= Not all eye goobers (cause they are gross), but the ones that I get after I put in eye drops. When I pull those ones out they tickle my eye for some reason. I like it.

-Gym sore= I love, love, love it when I've worked my butt off at the gym or any other physical activity and I'm super sore the next day. The more it hurts to move the more I love it!

-Sunburns= Not on me, but other people. I love it when peoples sunburns start to peel and I get to help it along. It's so fun! (outdoor activity only)

Oldies but goodies

I've been listening to a lot of Oldies lately....like from the 50's! I know crazy! I gotta admit I love the stuff though. It's so simple and makes me so happy. Now days you would think a song was lame if it had the lyrics they were writing then. Earth Angel by the Penguins is one of my favs!! (which how did they get their hair to look so silky?!?) I've always thought the 50's would have been so fun to be a teenager in (the 20's or the 40's would be fun in your 20's). Life seems to have been more simple in the 50's. According to the movie Crybaby and Grease you really only had two options: you were either a square or a greaser. Now both sides have a lot of compelling arguments that make it hard for me to pick which way I would have gone. I know your thinking I'm totally a greaser cause I'm so rebellious! ;-) and I do love the hot fast cars and the sexy way they get to dress... but then again greasers never go swimming...at least that I've heard of...and that would kinda suck. Plus I do so love the beebop rock, wearing poodle skirts, and getting pinned stuff.
Here's what I imagine a typical beebop good girl life would be: Go to school dressed much like the poodle skirt wearer here, have my books carried by my boyfriend Jonny in the halls at school (sorry Scott, they were all named Jonny back then), Jonny would be a greaser in a black leather jacket & jeans & ride a motorcycle. I would be class VP, and go to pep rallies, and belong to the country club (to swim & go to balls). At night we would go to dinner at a place that serves your burger and fries on roller skates. We would share 1 malt with 2 straws. After dinner we would go watch my big brother Elvis play in his rock band and beebop some cool swing moves. (FYI, all the girls are in love with my bro). After rocking out Jonny and I would head up to the makeout point that overlooks the city, listen to the radio (and hear "our" song, Earth Angel), and kiss with partial tongue for 1/2 hour. Then he would take me home and we would sit on my porch swing and talk until curfew drinking lemonade....I think that sounds totally realistic!
