I finally finished my paint by numbers I bought myself for my birthday last October! Hallelujah! I swear I could hear angels from heaven singing that I was finally done! Cause guys, paint by numbers is not as easy as it looks. This took 6 months of my life to complete! 6 months! Granted I didn't work on it everyday...sometimes taking weeks off, but that's still a super long craft project! Not to discourage any future paint by numbers crafters out there, cause it was fun and I do want to do another someday. The only thing I recommend for beginners is to start with a smaller paint by numbers and don't use the boring colors that come with the pack. I'm buying fun colors to paint my next project....and when enough time has passed and I don't hate the time it took me to do this painting I want to go over some colors with some bright exciting ones! I feel like it's asking me for some emerald greens and bright purples...maybe some turquoise too.

Sometimes life gets in the way and weirdness happens...

Earlier this week I had to go to my doc cause I was having a hard time breathing. According to the doc I have the "cousin to asthma", which means my lungs had air trapped in them. How in the heck does that happen?!?  I couldn't breath deep for 2 days, which in turn made me very light headed. Also, apparently it's hard to eat when you can't breath, not a big help with the light headiness, but worked great for weight loss! Win, win!! They gave me a breathing treatment (which helped) and this inhaler in case it happens again....now I'm officially a nerd.

I may look slightly stoned because the inhaler has crack in it...or so it feels like.

On the upside I made crafts! I'm so excited for Fall!!

 I glittered the pears the last craft night with the girls, so this time I chromed some apples.

  I also made this fall wreath and had to hang it up! If school has started then it must be officially Fall right?!? The weather will start to cooperate soon I'm sure.

This is the first year I've had a house (or townhouse) to decorate all to myself.

I want it to look like Christmas threw up in my house!

I love all the Christmas festivus I have in our home so far. It's just perfect!
I'm sure my scrooge hubby loves it as well...on the inside.

Plain frame no mo!

In case you were wondering, sometimes I'm super crafty! Mostly my crafts are confined to my journal and come in the form of me coloring, making collages, or using puffy paint; but recently I totally made plain frames into cool individual frames! For a first attempt I'm pretty pleased at the results.

(I think I need to get some sand paper and distress this one a little bit??)

I'm still working on the bracelets I wanted to get done. I ran into a glitch, but I think I got it figured out. Those pics will be coming soon!

Let the crafts begin!

I'm always envious of crafty people and their abilities to make something unique and cool. Now you would think because I'm envious that I'm not a crafty person, but au contraire! I actually have so many ideas swirling in my head that I could forever keep myself busy! My problem is lack of knowing where to begin...and maybe some laziness. I keep thinking, oh when I get married I'll create so many things! I guess my thinking is that I don't have my own home to create fun and fantastic things for. But you see right there I'm setting myself up. What makes me think I'll create big awesome things for my house when I'm not even doing small projects now?? Well that way of thinking is no more! I will start making unique and exciting things now!

Goal 1: paper mache bracelet. I went to New York like 5 years ago and had a brilliant idea that I was going to take the subway maps and make a cool paper mache bracelet...well I still have the maps and no bracelet. Plus I recently had an idea of making peacock feather bracelets for my future bridesmaids (no I'm not announcing anything). Needs the same supplies I believe. So I may as well do them both!

Goal 2: make a quilt. I've always wanted a patch work quilt and what better way to get one then by making it myself. Now I don't quite know how to do that, but I figure I can at least start collecting the different fabrics.

Goal 3: bedazzle picture frames. Ok not really bedazzled picture frames, but I want to buy some cool looking old frames and superglue items onto it to make it more artsy and unique. Such as, old keys, peacock feathers, lace, owl pendants, broaches, ect.

I have many other projects that I want to do, like making an apron, a cardigan, a necklace holder, clips for my hair, some Christmas decorations, and more...but I need to start small so I don't overwhelm myself. Plus I need a sewing machine for some of them, that's on my list of items to search out and buy. I will begin collecting items for the 3 projects above this week! I'm so excited! Also, if anyone is looking for inspiration my friend Nicole is a craft style genius! Seriously blog stalk her! She's amazing and has an eye for awesomeness! I hope to post pictures of some completed crafts in the near future. If anyone wants to have an awesome afternoon craft session let me know and I will let you join in!
