Naughty Bridal Shower

My best friends and sister seriously went above and beyond for my naughty bridal shower. It was so much fun! Though I still think it's awkward being the center of attention and pulling naughty thing after naughty thing out in front of everyone!

Side note:
My co-workers also gave me a bridal shower that I didn't get pictures of (sorry!).
It's always fun to see everyone outside of work
and eat super yummy coconut key lime cupcakes!
They are my favorite!!
(but only these ones that my boss makes....she's the best at these cupcakes!)

stressful good times

I don't know if anyone has ever mentioned this before,

but planning a wedding is seriously stressful!
Maybe it's more stressful for me because I'm a control freak
and feel the need to have my hand in every aspect of the wedding?
Or because I wanted to do this somewhat on a budget
and made some awesome boutonnieres (15),
hair accessories (27),
& necklaces (15)
for the bridesmaids, nieces, and groomsmen?
It could be because I've still yet to find a cake that makes me go
Mmmmmmmm!?
(wedding is only 1 1/2 weeks away!)
Maybe it was trying to get scuba certified in my short 2 month engagement?
In fact maybe it's having a short 2 month engagement??
It's probably all of these combined.

Regardless of the stress though, I'm super excited!!
I love all the accessories I've made
(with lots of help from my girls & sissy Becky),
I love all the little details,
and I just love how everything is turning into what I want!
The day of is going to be so much fun and super awesome!!

Last Saturday Scott and I went to the parking lot sale at RC Willey
and got this amazing table for $25!!We didn't even go there for a table (we are looking for a bed),
but Scott has the eye for deals and found it!
(I should totally take him thrifting with me!)
It's a tall table that has an extra leaf to add for big parties,
or take out when it's just the two us!
(I was totally just singing Will Smith's song when I said that)
I was just mentioning earlier that day that I wanted a tall table and woo-la!
The legs are a little banged up because it was the floor model,
but we are going to paint it to match our home anyway.
This will be my first big project after we get married & it makes me a little nervous.
I really don't want to mess it up cause this is "our" first table,
and will be the center for food good times with friends and family,
game nights,
and craft nights.
It's a little daunting,
so wish me luck!
This is me finally getting out of the heat! I was sweating out on that pavement looking for deals.

country girl

I'm not sure many people know this about me,
but I'm kind of a

country girl.

Probably not, but I do own 3 of em...and cowboy boots.)

I don't know if it's because I'm from
the wide open spaces of Montana,
that I'm a romantic,
that my parents listen to it,
or some other factor.

But whenever I need to unwind,
I'm having a hard time,
or I'm feeling extra lovey,
it's country music I turn on.

I feel like it re-centers me,
makes time go slower,
makes the world seem more innocent
and simple.

In fact it makes life feel small town,
like my home town of
Kalispell Montana
and the summers I spent at our place in
Salmon Idaho.
I love that feeling.

**I should put a disclaimer that not all country music is awesome and makes me feel this way. Just like not all Radiohead makes me want to make out...unless it's In Rainbows, that album totally makes me want to make out!
