cry baby

I don't know if it's just me, but I think a baby's cries are the cutest!!
Yes, I sooth my boy when he cries, but when he's crying over getting his diaper changed that calls for a video.

NEWBORN:

1 MONTH:

Serious cuteness huh!?!
I can't believe how much his cries have already changed! He's just growing up too fast!

I've decided I"m going to have to record his cries every month to show the progression of the cry...I'm probably the only person in the world who wants to make those videos.
:-)

Granted some cries are sad and very tiring. Especially when he's been fussy all day and I can't figure out whats going on or how to fix it. I think I've got it pegged down to gas and acid reflux though...poor little guy! It just breaks my heart when he's crying cause he's hurting.
I prefer the cute diaper changing cries.

happy 1 month birthday!

We made it to 1 month and Oliver is still alive!!
Scott tells Oliver every day to stop growing. It's crazy how fast time flies and how big he's already gotten. He's already 10lbs!

Here are some cute pics from the last month.

This one is his Elvis look
The many moods of Ollie that can happen within 5 minutes

What I've learned this last month:
  • Pampers are the better leak proof diaper.
  • MAM pacifiers are his preference so therefore I deem them the best.
  • Exercise balls are a must for bouncing a fussy baby. In fact they are better for bouncing babies than for exercising so should be called baby balls instead...or something like that :-).
  • Being a mom means not being idle, but I feel like if I'm home all day I have to have an amazing chore chart for myself so I still feel like I've been productive. Though sometimes just keeping this baby from freaking out all day is productive enough for me.
  • Breast feeding is hard work, but I love the bonding time and those peaceful moments with my baby.
  • I still feel like I'm not doing enough to help his development so I'm on-line nightly trying to read up on what I should do. I'm not sure I'll ever feel like I've done 100%. I just hope I don't screw him up and he's happy.
  • There are not enough hours in a day...or night!
