happy birhtday to me....next week

Next week will be my golden birthday!!
I'm turning 33 on October 3rd!!
How lucky are all those 3's!!!
Since I'm growing up I've decided I shouldn't make such a big wish list of items I want.
Really though it's because I can't think of too much that I'm dying to have this year.
I already got what I wanted most...Scott.
(cue the awwwwwww's)
So here is my bitty list of the few items that I think are pretty darn cool and I wouldn't mind having for myself:
  • I love to Kill a Mockingbird! It's one of my all time favorite books. So why not wear a shirt and show my support. The website Out Of Print has a ton of cool shirts with old books on them. Plus each shirt sold they send a book to a community in need that doesn't have books, like Africa! I support and salute this endeavor!
  • I like DVD's. Scott and I own almost 200. So here are some I've had my eye on:
Gleaming the Cube
Oh Brother Where Art Thou

  • Forever 21 or Target gift cards
    • $$ Cold hard cash $$! Scott and I are buying a  60D Cannon Camera this year for our birthdays and Christmas gift to each other. Sooooo super excited about this!!! Everyone knows how much I love to take pics and I can't wait to have a camera that will shoot what I see and be awesome! Plus Scott really wants it to make some of the films the boys have been talking about doing. Not cheap to get a good lens to go on this bad boy though! Hence why we've canceled all other presents to each other for the rest of the year.
    • Or you don't have to get me a gift at all and just be my pal and acknowledge it's my day :-)

              favorite memory

I saw a short film where someone asked 50 people 1 question:
              What is your favorite memory?
It got me thinking what my favorite memory is.
I have so many excellent memories with my family throughout the years.
I have a ton of fun memories with my friends.
I have a million amazing memories with Scott.
To call something my favorite is hard.
The 1 memory I can think of that encompasses all of my favorites...
              My wedding day.
My family, my best friends, my ginger for a whole day!
A day where I was the center of attention and only job was to enjoy myself.
A day where Scott couldn't complain about all the pictures being taken.
A day I got to dance with Scott and shake my booty with friends & family.
A day where I got all the kisses I wanted.
A day where I was the belle of the ball!
This day is my favorite memory...so far.

              Fried food, piggies, & rides!!

It was the State Fair again!!
I absolutely love going to fairs and carnivals!
              The excitement of the rides,
              and games,
              and fair food,
              and piggies!!
              Love!!!!!
Plus my parents got to come with me this year.
              They really are the cutest!

I love the face fur my pops has grown :-)

Can't wait for next year already!

              who, what, where...

I hate not knowing the answers to questions or how something is going to end.
(hence why I peak in the back of books that I'm reading to know how things turn out)
These are some questions I'm going to ask God when I die:

              Who killed JFK?
(I'm pretty sure there is some conspiracy there)
What is the purpose of mosquito's?
(seriously...I hate them with a fiery passion of a thousand suns!)
              Where is Atlantis?
              (I know it exists!)

I have some other smaller questions as well:
What's up with the Bermuda Triangle?
What happened to the Roanoke colonists?
              Aliens??
As Mandy Moore sings "Someday We'll Know", it's true...someday Mandy we will both know and it's so exciting to think that all will be unfolded to us someday! Though I'm curious as hell, I'm OK to not rush my life along to find out. After all I'm a newly wed so this next stage of my life is just beginning! But don't worry, I will continue to add to my list curiousness because lets face it, I will wonder about this stuff until I die.

              baking = wifey

              It may just be me,
but when I'm baking I feel like I should be listening to Christmas music.
It's just baking is so cozy
and feels so happy and family oriented to me.
So therefore the happiest music should be playing when I bake!
              I baked these cookies yesterday
listening to Neil Diamond Christmas and my Polar Express Soundtrack.
It was a lovely fun evening!!
These are the first I made in my new home for my cute husband.
(he did have to help me find a recipe...he's the baker, but I do try)
I hope to start baking more and creating extravagantly glorious treats!
              (I have high aspirations)

(this cake stand was my grandmothers and I love displaying treats on it!)
Nothing makes a house more homey than the smell of baked goods!
              I feel so wifey!!
