my future favorite room

When I was young girl to pass the time in church I used to draw house plans and design how the furniture would be laid out in every room. The most important room and the one all the plans would be laid around was always the library. Ever since I can remember I've always wanted a home with a library! A whole room dedicated to books!

My home will have that castle turret which is where the library will be located
with a cozy fireplace and tons of windows
a ladder to get to all the glorious books that are stacked to the ceiling
and a spiral staircase to get to the second level that is full of more books and open to the floor
below
a cozy window seat is a must

and chaise loungeSeriously it doesn't get much better than that!

The Marrying Kind

Every girl dreams about the man she will marry one day and of course I'm no different. My tastes have definitely changed throughout the years and looking back at them all I realize how very awkward and unhappy things could have been if I ended up with any of them.

David Bowie from the movie Labyrinth:
He had it all! The tights, the hair, the lip gloss! Jareth was a force to be reckon with! He was a bit domineering, but I think the singing made up for it.

My big brother, Dan:
I used to carry around his graduation picture with me in elementary school when he went off to the Navy. All my friends thought he was so dreamy and wanted to marry him, but I was possessive. He was my big brother and super strong and they couldn't have him! So I told them all they couldn't marry him because I was.

Prince Eric
Definitely the most handsome Disney prince! Plus I've always wanted to be a mermaid, which means we were kinda destined for each other...or so I thought. I mean he's a cartoon so it would have been really hard to work around that.

Johnathan Taylor Thomas
Cutest little guy ever!! It's the little part that had our future life together on the rocks though. When I realized he was never going to grow I had to move on. Of course at this stage in life, pre-teen, the guys changed weekly so it wasn't too hard to replace him. I had Zack from Saved by the Bell, Shawn from Boy Meets World, Johnny Depp in 21 Jump St, Johnathan Brandis from Seaquest, Sean Astin from Toy Soldiers (first time I drooled over muscles from a guys shirt off), & many more.

Brandon FlowersNot only is he the lead singer of my favorite band, The Killers, he's uber sexy and was raised Mormon! What luck! The odds of us meeting and him wanting to become active again were totally high! Of course he does have a wife already...

Gerard Butler
This was my last marriage fantasy before Scott. I thought for sure if we ever met we would fall madly in love! I mean how could we not?? I'm awesome and he's Scottish and has a beard! Yum!!

THE WINNER:
Scott Steele
I've been wanting to marry this kid for the last year & a half! So what does Scott have that all these other guys don't?? He doesn't wear tights, we're not related, he's not a cartoon, he's already gone through puberty, he's not a character on a TV show or movie, he's not already married, and he doesn't smoke. Plus having someone real and a real marriage to plan, though stressful, is far better than all the fantasy ones! Scott is definitely the best for me and is soooooo the marrying kind!!

a bit obsessed

Recently it's come to my attention that I own 24 cardigans & 16 scarves!!
You're probably thinking does a person really need that many of either??
The answer is yes!!
For a girl who wears cardigans and scarves almost everyday it's dire to have at least this many. Also, in case your wondering I have plans to buy more.
May the collection never end!!

Always say yes!

When your super cute boyfriend ask you if you want to make snow angels with him, always say yes!! I know opting to write I love you in the snow is just as cute, but I will always regret not jumping in and making an angel with him. Who cares if you get a little wet! Let me rewind a bit and start from the beginning though:

My Amazing April Fools in Love Weekend
We went to Scott's family cabin up in Oakley this weekend with our closest friends. I love his cabin! We played games, watched movies, ate amazing meat and banana macadamia nut pancakes. We even were lucky enough to have a snow storm Saturday night and wake up to a winter wonderland Sunday morning! Lucky for us we had snowmobiles! By Sunday afternoon everyone had left for home and it was just Scott and I. We decided to go up snowmobiling around the mountain behind his cabin. Did I mention there was a ton of new snow and it was extra beautiful with it blanketing everything!?! Cause it totally was! We get to the top and there is perfect untouched snow. Here is the point where Scott asked me to make snow angels. Being in jeans I didn't want to ride around all wet, so I said no and let him make a snow angel himself. I wrote him a cute note of I Love You in the snow though to make up for it. After helping Scott out of the deep snow I investigated a little path through the trees and when I turned around Scott was down on one knee with a ring in his hand! My super cute boyfriend was asking me to marry him! It was perfect!! The weekend, the snow, being in a place we love secluded from everyone, and being so in love. I couldn't have asked for anything more!
Scott even picked out the ring all by himself! He's so amazing and I'm so in love with him! I really feel immensely lucky to have him and am beyond happy!
