Chuck Norris Approved

Why are these so funny!?!....and so true!! I'd also be curious to know if Chuck Norris started these himself???

Chuck Norris recently had the idea to sell his urine as a canned beverage. We know this beverage as Red Bull.

Chuck Norris' tears cure cancer. Too bad he has never cried.

If you spell Chuck Norris in Scrabble, you win. Forever.

When the Boogeyman goes to sleep every night he checks his closet for Chuck Norris.

Chuck Norris has counted to infinity. Twice.

Chuck Norris doesn't read books. He stares them down until he gets the information he wants.

Since 1940, the year Chuck Norris was born, roundhouse kick related deaths have increased 13,000 percent.

In an average living room there are 1,242 objects Chuck Norris could use to kill you, including the room itself.

Chuck Norris does NOT play god, GOD plays Chuck Norris

I am a Triathlete!

I'm super excited that I did a triathlon for my first time on July 18th! It was on my list of 102 things I want to accomplish with my life and checking it off felt sooooo good!!! I did the triathlon with Scott, his brothers Brandon and Zak, and friends Johnny and Katie. I may not have been very fast but I finished! It took me 1:43 to do the 500 meter swim, 12.5 mile bike ride, & 5k run (plus transition times in there). I swore when I was running in that I would never do another one cause I was exhausted! It was harder than I thought it would be. Though now looking back, I know I can do better and want to improve on my time...maybe that's the tri bug that's bit me, I don't know. I just know that I did this one and I'm proud of me!

Concert? Yes Please!

I love going to concerts! I go to a show almost once a month. There is just something about seeing a band you dig live. It can either make em rock more in your eyes or just be so-so. Going with good, fun friends also makes concerts rule! The first concert I saw was Rancid in Las Vegas. I was 15 and my parents had no idea I went to Vegas to watch em. Yeah, I was a little rebelious teen :-) I went to a few more sporadic shows over my teen years like the Greatful Dead, NOFX, & Bad Religion, but the concert bug didn't really bite me until my mid 20's (probably because it was then that I could finally start affording to go to them). Here is a list of some of my favorite concerts I've been to:

Bon Jovi
One of my first concerts as an adult, which was fitting cause I grew up listening to em. Rocked!!

Shiny Toy Guns
I've actually seen them 3 times

Ben Folds
Mine and Scott's first date April 23 2008

Cobra StarshipI've seen this band 3 or 4 times...I've lost count. The first time I saw them I fell in love! I had no idea who they were, but they ended up being better than the headliner. Unfortunately the last time I saw them they were only so-so for me...it may be cause the lead singer Gabe was sick.

Jimmy Eat World
Crowd surfed my first time!

Neil Diamond
This was a life long dream come true to see Neil this last winter! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Neil Diamond!
The Swell Season
Sweet Irish band! I love how the Irish tell stories about everything. If you've seen that independent movie Once then you know who this guy is. He is also in the band The Frames

Katy PerryFunny girl with lots of energy!

Snow PatrolOnce again I love the Irish. There was this funny point when a girl yelled out "I love you!" and he's all "You love me? Do you not listen to my songs? I'm a bad boyfriend."

The Ting Tings
They had the most ridiculous opening band called Hot Tub! Which almost stole the show with how....entrancing they were :-)

Bowling For SoupI really liked how these guys noticed that some younger kids (like 10) were at the show so they watched their mouths. It made me respect them more.
No Doubt
I've seen these guys twice now. Once when they were first getting started and another time a couple months ago. Both times were not disappointing! Gwen knows how to put on a show!

30 Seconds to MarsThis is the only concert I've been to by myself. I won a ticket from Graywhale and am glad I wasn't too scared to go.

Unwritten Law
Free tickets from Graywhale once again! I love winning free tickets to concerts I really want to go to!
The MatchesThis was an opening band that was really fun. I felt like I was at a circus for some reason...

Here are some concerts I've got coming up that I'm way excited to see:

Incubus
Lacuna Coil
Tool
Depeche Mode
The Killers
and maybe Flogging Molly

My wish list of bands I want to see:

Radiohead
The All American Rejects
AFI

Whoohooo for concerts!!

Small Town Goodness

Mmmmm!! I love me some small town good times! Every other year my family and I go to my pops hometown of Salmon, Idaho for the 4th of July. This year my sexy pants boyfriend came which made it even more fun! Here are some of the reasons I love Salmon:

1. The River
2. Walking from one end of town to the other in 5 minutes

3. The small town parade and the treats they throw out
4. The small town folks who are constantly waving at you even though they don't know you

5. The old school looking buildings and churches

6. The small town movie theater that only has 2 options

7. Spending lots of time with my family chilaxin and playing on the river
8. Huge ice cream cones for 75 cents

9. How old everything is and looks in and around town10. Mostly I love the slow motion, relaxed feel of a small town
