Not Goth!

This is an update from my last blog that I posted about doing the smokey eye look. I tried it and it was awesome!! I don't look like a hooker or a goth girl! I mean, I know I didn't go as extreme as many girls in my last blog (baby steps), but this is still way more extreme than what I usually do. It's totally hot though! It's amazing how you feel the night your wearing your smokey eye. I definitely felt a little more bad ass and kind of seductive as well. I totally recommend going smokey!!

Smokey and the Bandit

I went to the MAC counter recently and had them show me how to do some smokey eye goodness. I've always wanted to know how to pull that look off, cause lets be honest, who doesn't want to be smoldering sexy once in awhile?!? Plus Emma Stone looked hot with her smokin eyes in Zombieland....and I kinda want to be like her in that movie (a.k.a. badass).

After trying it out though and seeing what look I could pull off, I've come to the conclusion that smokey eyes don't work in every setting for everyone. I've decided the extra smokey look is really only practical for:

movies
the red carpet
rockstars
magazines or photo shoots for figures in the public eye
artsy photos
Halloween
or hookers

I'm curious to know what guys feel about smokey eyes. If it holds the same loathing as the pants tucked into your boots? I've never heard a guy say anything about a girls smokey eyes...not that I would change liking it. Just curious...Regardless though, for now I will be sticking to the subtle smokey, more of a smudgy eyeliner look. Maybe someday I will move onto something more smoldering or on days I'm feeling frisky and daring I will smolder my eyes more. I wonder if this is just the gateway and someday soon I will be goth girl?!? (gross)

Diamond Girl

I LOVE Neil Diamond!

There I said it! It feels so good to finally get it out. My sister always says that people either love him or hate him, that there can be no in between. I'm not sure that's true though...why would anyone hate Neil!?!? He IS the Jazz Singer!! In fact the sexiest you will ever see Neil is in the movie The Jazz Singer. He grows a beard at one point of the movie and is sooooo hot!! (I wish they had those pics on-line) Don't get me wrong though, I think he's sexy now! That man will be sexy until the day he dies! My mom went to his concert a few Christmas's ago and she said that he pulled a woman on stage, kissed her, then looked at the guy she was with and said "Is she with you? Well now she's ready for you." Awesome!! Only Neil could do that and get away with it. I was lucky enough to go to his concert in December last year. I cried 3 times I was so ecstatic to see him and hear him sing live. I guess Neil just takes me to a happy place. On road trips growing up we would listen to the Jazz Singer album over and over singing along "Love on the rocks. Ain't no big surprise. Just pour me and drink and I'll tell you some lies." Pure Gold!! Then every Christmas we would listen to his Christmas album. Christmas is never complete for me without my Neil Diamond Christmas Album. In fact, I have to listen to the album throughout the year because A. I love Christmas music that much, and B. I love Neil that much. I'm pretty sure that Neil could create world peace if everyone just listened to his albums and felt the flow of his soothing sexy voice. You can't help but be a happy person when you listen to Neil Diamond. I promise!
