First Fourth

This week we had Pioneer Day here in Utah. Which meant more fireworks! I was super excited for this because we were so busy taking pictures of Ollie on the Fourth that I didn't get to really enjoy the show. I'm kind of crazy about documenting Ollie's firsts and about fireworks so it was nice I got a re-do.

Every other year we go to Salmon Idaho for the Fourth of July with the Van Hoose family.

I completely adore this small town and lazing around with my family!

One of the best parts of small town Fourth is the parade! It's just so cute and quaint!

The noise didn't bother Ollie too much. There were a few really loud ones that scared him, but mostly he loved looking at the fireworks!

4 months old

I'm not sure how this kid hasn't been suffocated by my kisses & love yet! It's crazy how much I'm in love with my little dude. He's my perfect 4 month old giant baby!

Ollie gets so excited sometimes and his little body and can't contain it! His eyes get all wild, he does a crazy laugh, and wiggles his whole body.

I always said I wasn't going to be the mom that did baby talk, but it turns out I was wrong! I baby talk a storm to Oliver! Now before you non-parents judge me, I guarantee that you to will someday do the baby talk as well. When your precious little baby gets a huge grin on his face or does a cute little giggle from your baby talking you will want to do it non-stop to see that smile or hear that laugh as much as possible!

So remember how I recorded his newborn and 1 month old cry? Well he stopped fussing during diaper changes and actually likes those now! These days he is a big time fussy baby when he is tired and doesn't want to go to bed. So I took a cute little video of him while I was cuddling him. This is Olivers 3 1/2 month old cry:

His cry just keeps getting older! Where did my tiny baby go?!? He is my giant baby now.

It's crazy how he can go from 0 to 100 in 2 seconds! Please say its not just my baby who is bi-polar like this!?! Sometimes even his laughs turn into cries. Haha! I don't know what switches in his head so quickly?? Even with his changing moods I still think he's the cutest baby in the universe!

3 years of goodness

For some reason we can't seem to celebrate our gift giving portion of the anniversary on time. I mostly blame Scott for ordering presents too late :-). Also a factor could be we seem to be traveling during every anniversary and who wants to pack more luggage to give gifts? 

So the 3rd year is leather and I must say I totally scored!

New purse, cute heels, and saltwater sandals!

I got Scott a briefcase, a belt buckle with a cute love note burned into the back of it (our little secret), and some leather snaps that hold your IPhone & IPod cords.

I love following the traditional gift giving guide. It makes it fun to find gifts for each other every year. Next year is fruit/flowers. I'm thinking lots of yummy chocolate dipped fruit is in my future! :-)
