Concerts

So I went to the Katy Perry concert last night, which FYI, was rockin! I was kinda amazed at how many beeyotches were there though. I know when some people get their concert face on they get mean...heck I've been known to be mean myself once in awhile. When I went to Cobra Starship a couple years ago some drunk chick kept bumping into me and spilling her beer on me when she had plenty of space to stay away from me....I said a few words that weren't nice to her, but I don't think I went out of my way to be a snatch...well maybe I did a little bit :-) In fact I would expect some hard ass's at a rock or punk concert, but not at Katy Perry. I mean she's pop. Her songs are funny and upbeat. On stage she's silly and humorous. She in no way inspires any angst or anger in a person. So why were some girls threatening to punch people who ran into them? Or be so rude and think that your the only one who would like some personal space and get in the face of people who are just trying to watch the show? Also, what's with people who won't let you slip past them?? It's not like we want your special spot you've staked claim to and must own. News flash!! Your at a concert!! There are few guarantee's that you can expect at a show: no personal space, bumping, feet stepped on, stinky people, sweaty people, people moving around and trying to get by you and I'm sure a few more I'm forgetting. So a few tips: When someone tries to get by you and their saying "sorry, excuse me", let them by, I promise you there will still be room for you in your special spot. It's also good to remember that everyone is there to have a good time and see a band they like, just like you. I'm glad my friends get that and know how to just have a good time.

  1. Hey, I have seen some or the most crazy things at a concert, and most of them were done by people that I was with. My friend Mike got so mad at crowd surfers at one of the Big Ass Shows that he grabbed the kid down off the crowd by his crotch and ran through the crowd using the kid as a battering ram. The kid was all of about 14 years old. Sadly, I laughed the whole time.

  3. I hate ornery concert-goers. I feel for you. Hey, are you going to see Travis at The Depot in April? Ryan and I would love to see you.

P.S. I'm so excited you have a blog!
