Does it count?

I know the kiss with my cousin Brian, when I was 3.. in the back of my parents suburban.. on the way to an Easter egg hunt.. doesn't count. For one because our older siblings forced us and two because we're related. But what about my first kiss by the boy I liked when I was 4 years old in pre-school?? I distinctly remember that kiss to this day. Joey and I would have play dates at his house after pre-school. It was the year Knight Rider came out of television so we played with our hot wheels (our cars were smart like Kit). On this day the bad hot wheels kidnapped my car and Joey, being the brave boy he was, heroically saved my car! Our hot wheels kissed (which you do by bumping the front bumpers together), so we leaned in and had a quick mili-second long kiss. Does that count?

Now fast forward to my first boy/girl party in 5th grade. Of course truth or dare was being played and of course I picked dare! My best friend Laura Smith dared me to kiss a boy named Rudy (he went to another school...or juvi...or something). We had to kiss for 30 seconds, which apparently was long enough for him to put his tongue in my mouth. I disntinctly remember thinking that his tongue didn't taste like anything. Not toothpaste, or food (thank goodness), not anything....he was bland. My elementary boyfriend from the month before, Josh Carlisle, pulled us apart before the 30 seconds was up. I wonder if he was upset I never passed the check yes or no note about if I want to kiss back to him. Truth be told I checked yes...I was just to scared to pass it back to him. Do I have to count that kiss though? It wasn't a kiss of my choosing, it was a dare!! And if i don't have to count that can I fast forward to 15 years later when I kissed a boy just to get him to leave my house so I could go to bed??

I would just like to know what types of kisses count. I for one don't think dares, forced kisses, kisses to get rid of someone, kisses with someone you don't remember their name, kisses to prove a point, kisses you regret, or one night stand kisses should count....is that just me though? I'm only gonna start counting kisses that took a boy 3 weeks from our first date to get the courage up to finally kiss me kisses.

  1. Hey, I hear it takes some people up to four weeks to kiss someone, just be thankful that this "three-week" kiss didnt take four!

  2. Really? We can't count kisses that we don't remember their name? Is it first and last name... or ANY name?

I guess I've only kissed 2 people then.

  3. Jaime - I thought you were saving yourself to be kissed for the first time across the alter. Not the case? Well, I thought my first kiss counted (a quick peck) but after getting the hang of smooching I realize my peck was a "get rid of me" kiss. I'm still scarred by that realization.

  4. Well, I would count the kisses that happen on a second date...only if they are super sweet kisses.

  5. Jaime, Jaime, Jaime (head shaking)...so are those kisses with someone you don't remember because you didn't actually know their names?? I would say that your kiss with you cousin (ick) doesn't count but the rest probably do and now I'm starting to understand the long misunderstood kissing machine that is Jaime VanHoose! ;)
