Oliver's first Halloween was a success!!
We had people over to our house so we could hand out candy to the million trick or treaters in our hood and so Ollie could go to bed, in his bed, at a decent time.
We also learned a valuable lesson: Don't put two babies to sleep in the same room because they will just keep waking each other up.
Oliver thought that having the boys over earlier to play with was fun, but apparently when it's bed time he doesn't want to hear them.
(and now we know and knowing is half the battle!)
Look how cute they all are together though!
Tigger (aka Asher) is 3 months older than Ollie and Batman (aka Jethro) is 3 months younger.
It's nice that we have friends with kiddos the same age so that Ollie has some playmates!
We only took Ollie to one house to trick or treat since he doesn't eat candy yet (obviously). It was probably silly of us to even take him to one house, but I've been looking forward to having kids for so long I wasn't going to pass up my chance to experience the magic of Halloween night and trick or treating with my little!! He felt the magic of the night too cause we let him chew on the package of candy for a bit. So yeah, it was exciting for all of us.
Originally Scott was supposed to be wearing a nice black suit so that we could be all dressed up with our masks on, but the evening got busy with us making dinner for our guests, then the chatting, then the million trick or treaters, then a photo session of Ollie in his costume, then Ollie with his boys, then the Halloween movies. So by the time we thought of taking our own family photos this is what we ended up with: Scott and I looking half done and Ollie fully costumed. Hopefully next year we will have it more together for a family costume.
What to be for next year now?!?
ps- Don't mind the terrible lighting in all the photos. Apparently we need to get some new bulbs.
