For those of you who have never been pregnant I just wanted
to let you know some things that might be beneficial for you to know before you
plan on getting pregnant. I was unaware of these and I feel like I should have
known about them beforehand...you know, to prepare myself.
Things to expect in your first trimester:
- Uncomfortableness. You will be uncomfortable...all the time...ALL THE TIME!
·
From the nausea, to the uterus
growing causing some mild cramping, to the belly growing and clothes not
fitting, to the food aversions and smells, to the boobs just hurting
constantly....uncomfortableness!
- Tiredness. Yes, everyone knows preggo women are tired, but I think you need to know how easily you will get wore out and how sleepy you will really be.
·
Shopping with the girls? No more
marathon shopping these days! Better plan for nap time afterwards...and
probably better not do anything but sit around the rest of the night too.
·
9pm? But it feels like midnight! Off
to bed with you!
·
Want to climb that flight of stairs?
You may need to sit down or hold onto something at the top because you will get
winded and light headed.
·
It's the afternoon and you haven't
napped yet? Well your body is telling you that you are way overdue!
·
You worked today? Better put your
feet up and just sit for at least an hour when you get home.
- Hungriness. I think being pregnant should be called the Hunger Games.
·
Oh you ate breakfast an hour 1/2 ago
and your stomach is rumbling? It's cause you are overdue for a feeding and if
you don't hurry and get food in you most likely you will die...at least that is
what it feels like.
·
You're body requires you to eat ALL
the time...does it feel good after it eats? Nope. No matter what I ate, my
stomach gave me issues for eating it...then comes the gas...and it's stinky.
Sorry hubs!
Now maybe there are people out there that know their way
around these things, and those tips would be very helpful for future babies.
Cause I tell you what, in that first trimester I was ready to never get
pregnant again! But then in the second trimester you start to actually look
preggo (which does wonders for your self-esteem after feeling just fat for
months), and you feel the baby move, and sometimes he will wave at your during
the ultrasound, and it's all worth it. :-)

One thing I can tell you for sure.....You get this BURST of ENERGY somewhere between the 8th and 9th month! Then about a week or two before due date...you are wanting this too be OVER, especially if you go past due date. At least, that's what I remember...but that's been 22 yrs ago. Blessings~~~Roxie
