Singin with a stolen set of pipes!

Sometimes I like to pretend I can sing. I've always wished I could just pick up a guitar and sing some awesome song and amaze everyone. I would make the boys love me and the girls wish they could be as cool as me! That's probably why God didn't bless me with this gift though, he knew I wouldn't use my power for good, but for world domination. It's why I never learned guitar either, why learn to play an awesome song if I can't be the one in the spotlight singing it!? I guess I could always learn pitch and notes...but really, either you got it or you don't, and I couldn't hit a high note to save my life! So I settle for putting on my Ipod and pretending that the voice coming through the speakers is me and everyone loves me! My favorite pretend rock star voice is always Pink. If only God would have given me the choice I would have stolen her voice! I love how raw and gritty and amazing her voice is! I don't want a girly girl voice that's just pretty, I want soul and angst! Which is why when Pink comes on the radio I will never change the station....she has what should have been mine! There are a few exceptions when I go for pretty though, one is Faith Hill. Where Are You Christmas is totally my song! Sometimes I like to pretend I'm at a ward talent show singing this and I surprise everyone with this tremendous voice that I've kept a secret. It ends with everyone envying me and world domination. Hey if you're gonna dream, dream big right!?

Ps- If you can name what movie the title is from then you're awesome and we can be friends.

  1. I felt a little compelled to comment. I have always loved Pink too...even way back in the day when a friend left her 1st CD in my car. I actually never returned it. When her and Steven Tyler sang together. I thought they were such a good match. Loved it!

  2. We dream the same dreams. Can I add Christina Aguilara and Joss Stone to that list. Aguilara... man... that girl's got some SOUL! You should hear her sing Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. Class-ic. I'll be seeing Burlesque (sp?) just for her.

  3. First of all, I'm pretty sure we were twins separated at birth or something because I've had those exact same dreams before and especially lately because the ward talent show is coming up. I would love nothing more than to get up there and blow everyone away with how awesome I am. But it's just not in the stars for me.

Second, Little Mermaid - come on, give us something hard. :)
