Your Song

This blog is a continuation of my last blog...I'm on a music kick lately (well always....but I'm on a music blogging kick lately). This will be my last music blog for a bit though. This blog is just pretty much dedications to my mates. I think everyone has a song or even a whole album that when they hear it they think of a certain person or a time of their life.
So here's your song:

Scott-Radiohead, In Rainbows (the whole album); I Wanna Touch You by All American Rejects; & really every song that has to deal with love and want, Scott gets them all. Plus anytime I hear Portishead, Goldfrapp, or Hooverphonic. He introduced those bands to me.
as noted in previous blog that In Rainbows is the best album to make out to

Bro (Jonnie)- Creep by Radiohead
this was my first introduction of how music burns in your soul. my bro came into my room cause "i had to hear this song!" he laid on my bed and closed his eyes and did air guitar to the whole song...i loved it! pretty much most of the good bands i listen to were introduced to me by my bro. we now try to one up each other by hearing of a band first and are always trying to introduce each other to new music.
Ma & Pops- Neil Diamond, The Jazz Singer!
pretty much the only album my whole family could agree on, on road trips.
Sissy (Becky)- Jack and Diane by John Mellencamp
this song always makes me think of riding around in my sister's red mustang and her teaching me how to drive.

Sis (Heather)-Leader of the Pack by Shangri Las
we were such geeks with this song! we were rock stars and took turns being the lead singer. haha!

Alex Schwerdt-Mona Lisa by The All American Rejects & the band 311 as a whole
she's a bit obsessed with 311

Jen Abdalla- Paper Planes by MIA & The Peanuts Song as done in Arrested Development
not only does jen do the best chicken dance, but for some reason every time we see each other we somehow work in the peanuts song....cracks me up every time.
John Maxim- Give It Up by Pepper
pretty much any song by pepper reminds me of John because he introduced them to me, but this song the most because when John first played it for me i'm sure i was blushing from head to toe...i still can't listen to this song all the way through...it's kinda dirty.

Mara Rosendahl- The cheers from movie Bring It On
yeah, we even made up our own cheer after watching the movie. it's about booties....it rocked! The Girls (my high school posse: Jaana, Natalie, Pam, Annie, Janna, my sis)- Joker by Steve Miller Band
in high school this was our song because we were all represented in the chorus. the picker-Annie, the grinner-me, the lover-Janna, the sinner-Jaana, the joker-Nat, the smoker-my sis Heather, the midnight toker-Pam
Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen- Island in the Sun by Weezer
in case you didn't know, i totally heart MK & Ashley's made for tv movies! if it's on tv i will watch it every time. they did one called Holiday In The Sun. Island In The Sun was the theme song

**Extra little tid bit on music and my youth**
These are some albums that will always remind me of my youth. Of course I listened to more music than this, but I may have been obsessed with these albums for a bit longer than others:

Childhood- The Jazz Singer; Duran Duran, Rio
Adolescent- Beatles, Rubber Soul
Teenager- Face to Face, Big Choice; Sublime, 40 oz to Freedom; Creedence Clearwater Revival, Chronicle Vol 1
The End...for now
